A graduate of the Stanford Paramedic Training Program, Robert began his EMS management career in 1980 as Director of Operations at Santa Cruz Ambulance in Santa Cruz, California, after working as an Emergency Medical Technician for five years.
Since then, he has served in a variety of EMS middle and senior management positions in California and Colorado where he built and managed multi-site operations, including one of the first public/private partnerships for the nation's largest pre-hospital care provider. He has more than 38 years of experience in all facets of pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation services. In addition, he was reponsible for all municipal ambulance billing for Xerox Corporation for one and a half years.
During his career, Mr. Zuckswert has received a number of awards and honors including 1982 California Ambulance Association Employee of the Year, 1993 Santa Cruz County EMS Leader of the Year, and 2004 AMR Team Leader of the Year. He has also served on a variety of local and state boards and committees, including the Board of Directors for the California Ambulance Assocation.
