“They (Lift Coaches) have been very helpful with patient turning and repositioning in the Q2Hr turn system. They always come and check at the nurses’ station and with individual RNs…this has been very helpful in preventing HAPUs.
“Jody (the Lift Coach) instructed me about how to use the overhead lift. The next day I was caring for my patient and I needed reinforcement of her instruction with the overhead lift. Eric (the Lift Coach) was packed and leaving for the night when I stopped him, I informed him that I needed reinforcement with utilizing the overhead lift. Without hesitation he said sure!
We walked into my patient’s room and Eric explained to me start to finish about utilizing the overhead lift. More importantly I applaud Eric for helping me,”
