In this video, Dr. Joyce Black (PhD, RN, FAAN) dives into the 2nd aspect of reducing pressure injuries by minimizing the duration of pressure against the skin and soft tissue by turning and repositioning patients to reduce their risk of HAPI. As promised…we also have a SPECIAL guest speaker, Kathleen Vollman (MSN, RN, CCNS, FCCM, FCNS, FAAN), who shares her own experiences with Hemodynamic Instability and highlights the importance of repositioning to train patients to increase their intolerance for turning the most critically ill patients who may be deemed “unsafe to turn.”
