Atlas Mobility Technicians Focused on HAPI

Atlas Mobility Technicians are highly trained in patient mobilization, they receive 40 hours of didactic training in an academy inspired by key opinion leaders in the industry such as Dr. Joyce Black and Kathleen Vollman. Mobility Technicians focused on HAPI receive up to 40 hours of additional pressure injury-specific education. They then shadow a seasoned Mobility Technician performing tasks specific to HAPI prevention such as q2H turning/early and progressive mobility, proning, mobilizing patients in the ICU, mobilizing bariatric patients, training on patient mobilization equipment and more. During this period they are also educated on facility-specific technology, such as, body worn sensors, patient positioning devices, HAPI identification and early detection devices which support proactive responses to high-risk patients and more. Once fully trained they act as an extra set of hands for your care staff while positively changing the culture of safety at your facility up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
